Who I am<\/h2>\n<p>This website is owned and operated by <strong>Shivanshu Pande<\/strong>, a Vedic astrology practitioner offering consultations, written reports, and Jyotirvani software. The website address is <a href=\"https:\/\/shivanshuconsults.in\">https:\/\/shivanshuconsults.in<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Confidentiality of Consultations<\/h2>\n<p>I treat all consultation interactions as strictly confidential. The following commitments apply to every client who books a PDF Report, 1:1 Consultation, or Compatibility Report through this website.<\/p>\n<h3>What I collect<\/h3>\n<p>To provide the service you have booked, I collect your name, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, contact details (email and phone), and the specific question or area of life you wish to discuss. For Compatibility Reports, the same details are collected for both partners with the consent of the person submitting them.<\/p>\n<h3>How I use your information<\/h3>\n<p>Your birth details and consultation notes are used <strong>only<\/strong> to prepare your reading, generate your reports, and conduct any follow-up sessions included in the service you have purchased. Your information is not used for marketing, automated profiling, or any other purpose.<\/p>\n<h3>Sharing<\/h3>\n<p>I do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your consultation details to any third party. The only exceptions are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Where required by Indian law (court order, regulatory request, or law enforcement)<\/li>\n<li>Where a payment dispute or service complaint requires me to demonstrate transaction history<\/li>\n<li>Where you have explicitly authorised the sharing in writing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Storage and retention<\/h3>\n<p>Birth details and consultation notes are stored on my personal devices and within the Jyotirvani software, which operates locally. I retain consultation records for up to <strong>24 months<\/strong> from the consultation date for follow-up support and reference, after which they are permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion. Basic transaction records (date, service, amount) may be retained longer for tax compliance as required under Indian tax law.<\/p>\n<h3>Testimonials<\/h3>\n<p>I may publish testimonials from clients, but only with the following safeguards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I will request your <strong>written consent<\/strong> before publishing any testimonial<\/li>\n<li>Names will not be used in full. At most, I will display first-initials-plus-city (e.g., &#8220;S. P, Bangalore&#8221;) or fully anonymous attribution<\/li>\n<li>Specific birth chart details, names of relatives, or sensitive personal matters discussed in the consultation will never be referenced in testimonials, even with consent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023<\/h3>\n<p>As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access the personal data I hold about you<\/li>\n<li>Request corrections to any inaccurate details<\/li>\n<li>Request deletion of your records (subject to my retention of basic transaction records as required for tax compliance)<\/li>\n<li>Withdraw your consent for any future processing of your data<\/li>\n<li>Raise a grievance about how your data is handled, to the contact below<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Data security<\/h3>\n<p>I take reasonable precautions to protect your data, including device-level security, restricted access, and offline storage where feasible. No digital system is perfectly secure. This information is used to help spam detection.<\/p>\n<p>An anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. Their privacy policy is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/automattic.com\/privacy\/\">automattic.com\/privacy<\/a>. After approval of your comment, your profile picture will be visible alongside the comment.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Media<\/h2>\n<p>If you upload images to this website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors can download and extract that location data.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Cookies<\/h2>\n<p>If you leave a comment on this site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These exist only for your convenience and last for one year.<\/p>\n<p>If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is set to check whether your browser accepts cookies. Login cookies last for two days; screen-options cookies last for a year. If you choose &#8220;Remember Me,&#8221; your login persists for two weeks. How Long Visitor Data Is Retained<\/h2>\n<p>If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically rather than held in moderation.<\/p>\n<p>For users who register on the website, the personal information provided in the user profile is stored. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except for their username. Administrators can also see and edit user information.<\/p>\n<p>Consultation records have a separate, shorter retention policy, as described in <strong>Section 2<\/strong> above.<\/p>\n<h2>9. Your Rights Over Your Data<\/h2>\n<p>If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided. You may also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This excludes data I am obliged to retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.<\/p>\n<p>For consultation data specifically, see your rights under the DPDP Act 2023 in <strong>Section 2<\/strong> above.<\/p>\n<h2>10. Where Your Data Is Sent<\/h2>\n<p>Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Consultation data is processed locally on the Jyotirvani software and is not transmitted to external servers as part of the service.<\/p>\n<h2>11.
